The Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) elections in Devon & Cornwall are taking place on 2 May – but are you ready to vote?

You will now need to show an approved form of photo ID at polling stations when there is a Parliamentary or Police and Crime Commissioner election. Full details are available here.

If you are registered and eligible to vote you can either vote:

• in person at a polling station

• by post. You can apply for postal voting here.

• by proxy (allowing someone you trust to vote on your behalf). Find out more here.

Photographic identification is a mandatory requirement for everyone voting at polling stations, since the Elections Act 2022.
Photo ID is accepted, including a driving licence, passport, Older Person’s Bus Pass, a blue badge or Disabled Person’s Bus Pass. The full list of accepted ID can be found here.

You can also use an expired ID as long as the photograph is still a good likeness.

If you do not have accepted photo ID, then a free Voter Authority Certificate can be obtained online here. Applications must be submitted by Wednesday April 24 to be processed in time for the May 2 election. The Voter Authority Certificate is valid for 10 years and is valid for all elections.

Remember – put your cross in the box for Steve Lodge! Thank you.
